Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCS), Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, has issued two important public notices on the official website ccsuniversity.ac.in. The first notice concerns the new dates for the special practical examinations, in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. The second notice, however, concerns an extension of the deadline for completing the online application form. Also, due to the rapid increase in daily coronavirus infections, the university has issued some guidelines as a precautionary measure. Here is all there is to know!
CCS University Practical Special Examination
In accordance with the public notice issued by CCS University, the theory component of the special exams was conducted in pen and paper form in November 2021. Subsequently, the practical component was scheduled for 01-15 January 2022 However, according to the new guidelines issued by the state government of Uttar Pradesh on the closure of schools and universities till 23rd January 2022. Thus, holding practical exams during this period becomes risky and little convenient.
In this context, CCS University has informed that the special practical exam has been postponed until further notice. The university will announce new dates once the state government opens educational facilities for offline activities. An announcement regarding the new schedule will be made on the official portal.
CCS University Semester Examination Form Extension
Initially, CCS University had decided to conduct the application process for the semester exams from December 31, 2021 to January 10, 2022. The application deadline has been extended to January 17, 2022, giving applicants an additional week to submit their online applications. However, some students have not yet applied for the exam. So, keeping these students in mind, the application deadline has been further extended, to January 24, 2022. This gives applicants an additional 5-6 days to complete the online application process.

CCS University COVID-19 Guidelines
Several Indian states are experiencing an increase in daily COVID-19 infections, forcing the respective state governments to impose local restrictions and curfews. As online education has gained momentum again in Uttar Pradesh, teachers and administrative staff have been allowed to work from schools/universities. In light of this development, CCS University recently released some COVID-19 guidelines.

# All lectures or courses will be held in offline mode from January 17, 2022. No students will be allowed to attend lectures in offline mode, until further notice.
# While students must continue their studies online, it is mandatory for teachers to remain present at the university, as and when required.
# In order to maintain a teacher and non-teacher count of 50%, schools were advised to create a coffee roaster for each member. Additionally, institutes are advised to call only those members whose assistance is needed. Rest can continue their work from home.
# It is mandatory for all staff to maintain social distancing at all times. Additionally, to assist students, staff members, and parents, a COVID-19 helpline should also be in place.
