More than 7,400 candidates, mostly from rural areas, had filed complaints with NU after they failed to appear for the exam or missed it due to technical problems.
TOI had reported the fate of thousands of these students who failed their exams mainly due to slow internet connectivity and erratic power supply, as well as other issues such as mobile hanging or low battery or power failure. unable to connect to web link.

“We would be re-examining over 4,471 students. We had received their applications through their managers on our portal, in line with our guidelines that everything should be done online during the pandemic. The majority of these students come from rural areas in the four districts – Bhandara, Wardha, Gondia and Nagpur,” Prafulla Sable, director of the Board of Examination and Evaluation (BOEE), told TOI.
Student applications were approved after NU verified their applications by matching data stored on its server. Vice-Chancellor Subhash Chaudhari had told TOI on April 7 that NU would conduct a re-examination of all genuine students who failed for various reasons.
NU has already reviewed more than 10,000 students who were unable to appear in the first article on March 25 due to server issues.
Sable informed that NU will also organize the materials for the first and third semesters of BA, BCom, BSc, BE and other courses from May 27. “We will put the schedule online probably by Tuesday. All of these items were scheduled from April 24, but were postponed due to the upsurge in Covid-19 cases,” he said.
In a series of reports, TOI mentioned that hundreds of students complained that their assignment ended early and therefore they couldn’t solve all the questions. Many took to social media to air their grievances and also tagged YOU, saying they were having issues due to slow servers and connectivity, but their documents showed a successful submission prematurely.
