Ever since the online exam mode was introduced due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the university faced one or the other technical issues which included server issues and connectivity issues . This had resulted in the cancellation of the first day’s tests and inconvenience for the candidates.
NU then decided to organize re-examinations for these students. During the Winter 2020 exams that ended two days ago, NU had conducted two day one item re-exams as several students were unable to connect to the server due to slow connectivity.
“We are fully prepared and I don’t think we will face many problems this time around. Our winter logs have just ended and we have hardly encountered any difficulties for two months. Now, even students are well aware of the details of online exams, so they are expected not to make mistakes,” said Prafulla Sable, Director of the Board of Examination and Evaluation (BoEE).
He added that NU had reported more than 470 winter 2020 exam results so far, including bachelor’s, bachelor’s and engineering faculties, which account for the largest number of students.
The first phase would see the end-of-year/undergraduate semester exams starting June 29. In the second and third phases, the practical exams for the final year/semester postgraduate programs as well as a one-year certificate, diploma and PG diploma would start from July 12. while theoretical papers would take place from July 19.
The last phase of the work of the first year / second semester of the PG would start from September 13 with practical exams and theoretical work. NU would declare the Faculty of Education timetable later.
