A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Vikash Preetam Sinha, shared the image of the university’s BA political science paper which read: ‘Do you find any similarities between Fascism/Nazism and the Hindu Right? (Hindutvah)? Elaborate with arguments”. The image circulating on social networks now raises eyebrows. #banshardauniversity is also trending on Twitter.

“The name of the university is ‘Sharda’ but see the deed. Students are asked on the exam to write about “Hinduism” as essentially equivalent to Fascism and Nazism. This questionnaire was allegedly written by a Muslim teacher,” the BJP leader wrote on Twitter.

In a similar incident, the Rajasthan Board class 12 political science question paper sparked controversy after asking students up to six questions relating to the Congress political party. The BJP attacked the Congress party claiming that the questions in it were meant to glorify the ruling party in Rajasthan.

Responding to the allegation, the state’s Education Minister, BD Kalla, said the questions were not selected by the Rajasthan government.
