UGC orders investigation into viral review of private university claiming similarities between Hindutva and fascism

Earlier this morning, rumors that Rahul Dravid was dating BJP’s Yuva Morcha were doing the rounds on the internet. Tweeple seems upset that “The Wall” can’t have a policy on any party. But now dismissing those media reports, India head coach Rahul Dravid has claimed the reports were “incorrect” and that he will not attend any political events in Dharamsala.

While chatting with ANI, the former cricketer said, “A section of the media has reported that I will be attending a meeting in Himachal Pradesh from 12th to 15th May 2022. I wish to clarify that the said report is incorrect.”

Earlier, it was reported that along with female wrestler Babita Phogat, head coach Rahul Dravid will also attend the National Working Committee session of Bhartiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha in Dharamshala.

Rumors started circulating after Himachal’s Dharamshala BJP MLA Vishal Naheria claimed that head coach Rahul Dravid would be taking part in a BJP Yuva Morcha. The reports also became credible as the apparent visit was scheduled ahead of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections, which are expected to be held this year.

Moreover, the BJP MP said that Rahul Dravid’s participation in the event will send a message to young people. But it looks like the BJP MLA didn’t wait for the former cricketer’s confirmation and were quick to make an announcement. However, apart from Dravid, even the name of BCCI Chairman Sourav Ganguly is also associated with the BJP these days.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Sourav Ganguly hosted Union Home Minister Amit Shah for dinner at his residence in Kolkata, after attending a reception at the Victoria Memorial where Ganguly’s wife , Dona, was playing with her band.

However, Tweeple doesn’t seem to like the association between cricket and politics. Several Twitter users have pleaded with cricketers to stay away from Indian politics and remarked on how the natural game of cricket can be easily ruined after interference from politicians and their agendas.
