Students visited universities with their school throughout the month to learn more about what it would entail.

Year 9 pupils from Cockshut Hill School in Yardley, West Midlands, visited several universities, including the University of Birmingham, Coventry University, Cambridge University and Oxford University.

Students were encouraged to think about what they would like to do in the future and to meet current students and faculty to learn what it is like to go to university.

The visits are part of the school’s cultural experiences program, which offers students the opportunity to adapt to different environments, expand their aspirations, develop their social awareness skills and make connections. between their school work and their future life.

Jason Bridges, Principal of Cockshut Hill, said: “I think it’s really important for our Year 9 students to make these visits to such prestigious universities and it helps them plan their next steps.

“It’s great for them to know all the options available to them, because we want all students at Cockshut Hill to aim high in everything they do.”
